With investments in advanced technologies and significant expansions, Capital Health is a growing organization comprised of its Mercer Campus and Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, N.J. and the Capital Health in Hamilton outpatient facility. Our clinical strengths are enhanced by maintaining the largest medical staff in Mercer County.

The Capital Health Regional Cancer Center is accredited with commendation as an Outstanding Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Center by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. It received their 2006 Outstanding Achievement Award. As recognized by the Commission on Cancer, our program is one of the top seven percent of oncology programs in the country. Capital Health is known for its Nursing excellence having been designated twice as a Magnet recognized health system. Capital Health continues to thrive as Mercer County's only trauma center, neonatal intensive care unit, and psychiatric emergency screening center, as well as the region's only mobile intensive care unit.

History

With over a century of service to Mercer and Bucks Counties, both Helene Fuld(Capital Health Regional Medical Center) and Mercer Medical Centers shared traditions of caring. With the vision of building on that service into the millennium, they came together in December of 1997 to form Capital Health. The new organization is comprised of 619 beds and employs over 3300 employees. More importantly, Capital Health is dedicated to the healthcare needs of the communities that it serves. Our level of determination and commitment is the very soul of Capital Health.
