Endovascular Cerebrovascular Neurosurgery Fellowship

Capital Health’s Stroke and Cerebrovascular Center of NJ offers fellowships in Endovascular Cerebrovascular Neurosurgery, following successful completion of a neurosurgery residency in an accredited program. The Stroke and Cerebrovascular Center of NJ is one of the largest referral centers for cerebrovascular emergencies in New Jersey, and features state of the art biplane imaging as well as a dedicated neurosurgical intensive care unit, and advanced imaging including CT perfusion.

The fellowship offers physicians an opportunity to train with some of the country’s most experienced cerebrovascular neurosurgeons who are involved in the development of some of latest techniques in endovascular neurosurgery. The program uniquely allows fellows a direct one-on-one opportunity for learning with our neurosurgeons, without competition for cases.

Emergency Neurology Fellowship

This fellowship, generously supported by Genentech, Inc., is designed for applicants who are board eligible or board certified neurologists or emergency medicine physicians interested in emergency neurology who have completed an accredited residency in neurology or emergency medicine.

This fellowship is distinct from traditional vascular neurology fellowships in that it will focus on all neurological emergencies including stroke, seizures and status epilepticus, intra-cranial hemorrhages, neuromuscular emergencies, and neuro-interventional treatment options.

The goal of the program is to provide specialized education that develops physicians even more specifically trained to deal with patients being seen for neurological emergencies.

The fellow will train in the dedicated Center for Neurologic Emergency Medicine at Capital Health, the first dedicated neuro ED in the country. Fellows will also train in neuro-critical care and teleneurology, and have the opportunity to train with neurosurgeons that perform endovascular and traditional procedures

Candidates interested in this fellowship should send their CV to Dr. Mitch Rubin, mrubin@capitalhealth.org
